The point here is to maintain a continuous stream of mindfulness – being with your meditation object as much as you can throughout the day.
So although formal meditation practice is important, it’s also important not to divorce your practice from your everyday life.
In this respect, you can practice whether you’re walking, standing, sitting or lying down. This way, you carry your peace around with you everywhere you go – you don’t have to just rely on the meditation cushion to be at peace.
