Dr Martin Verhoeven reading through extract of Ajahn Mun’s biography on meditation states

The reknowned Thai meditation master, Ajahn Mun says that without a proper teacher teaching him, he had to work out for himself how to deal with visions during meditation.

As he was just chasing visions just to see what would come up next – much like watching a tv to see what the next exciting installment was.  He said that he had wasted much time doing this, but the end result was that his mind was not much different to his normal state – with the visions giving him emotional ups and downs.  He said that he had to rein the mind back in to contemplating his body – and said that he how lucky he was not to go off the deep in whilst meditating towards enlightenment.
